Richmond Karaoke & Disco is owned and run by myself, David Dale, with valued support from my family and fellow DJ Andrew Thornton. My involvement in the music industry stated way back in the 1980's when music came from shops in the form of vinyl discs and cassette tapes. My Dj'ing career started in a village pub providing a fortnightly disco for the local community. People often ask "what was the first track you played" . I'ts such a long time ago but Womack and Womack - Teardrops was certainly a memorable track.
How things have changed. The good old music shops are now few and far between and the charts change with the wind. However we have fully embraced change and have kept up with the times. We present a smart and modern image, use high quality modern professional sound and lighting equipment suitable for any occasion in any venue and continue to expand our music collection with the latest releases.

Ethics
As a professional company we take business ethics very seriously. When you book us we fully committ ourselves
to you and your event. We don't take better offers, subcontract any of our work (unless due to illness) and can proudly say
we have an attendance record of 100%. The only time we have failed to attend an event is by mutual agreement
due to adverse weather conditions.
Music
Our extensive music catologue dates from the 1940's to the latest chart releases covering a wide range of genres,
from Rock and Roll to R'n'B. We buy all of our music from legal and reputable suppliers, most of which comes on
CD's monthly. For information about our latest CD's please visit

We welcome playlists in advance of your event and are more than happy to take requests on the day.
Lighting
People often ask if we supply lighting with our disco...The answer is yes. Having worked in so many venues we
often take notes as to size of room and space available and install sufficient lighting.
All this is considered and included in the fee. In general we don't use Strobe effect lighting, Laser effects or
any form of Smoke/Haze as part of our shows unless the type of event warrants such effects,
subject to venue regulations.

Backup
In the event that something goes wrong during an event we offer peace of mind in that we always carrying
backup equiment, just in case. That, together with fully comrehensive insurance and breakdown cover on our van,
ensures we can get to your event and deliver the service you have booked us to provide.
Getting home afterwards is our problem!
P.A.T, P.L.I & CRB
It may not be a direct concernce of yours but many venues are now asking that any persons or company providing
services within their establishments have both P.A.T (electrical safety testing) and P.L.I (public liability insurance).
We are pleased to announce that we have both of these in place. Our P.A.T is carried out anually and our Level of
P.L.I is £10m. Copies of certificates are available upon request.
In addition both Andrew and myself hold current CRB checks.
